U.S. Stocks: Technology stocks fell Friday

Technology stocks fell Friday, blue chips recovered.The Nasdaq Composite Index bounced back from a 92-point, or 4.2%, and finished down 65.74, or 3%, at 2,117.63. It lost 145 pts, or 6.4%, during the volatile week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 16.17, or 0.2%, at 10,466.31, ending the week up 24 pts. The blue-chip indicator was down 148 pts, or 1.4%, at its worst Friday.The Standard & Poor's 500-stock index slid 7.05 to 1,234.18.
