Premier Zhu Rongji warns of WTO new problem

Premier Zhu Rongji warned that China's entry into the World Trade Organization would create new problems and that the mainland was at a critical stage in its economic restructuring. Mr Zhu, in his address at the opening of parliament, was unusually frank in his portrayal of the negative side of joining the world trade body, which Beijing has long described in somewhat rosier terms.
