Digital port to be completed in several stages from 2002 to 2003

Financial Secretary Donald Tsang said the outburst of science and technology stocks will not adversely affect Hong Kong government¡¦s determination to develop information technology. Digital port would be accomplished in several stages in 2002 and 2003. Over 10 times growth was expected in local telecom capacity involving HK$ 9 bln.
