Donald Tsang expects next fiscal deficit to be HK$3 bln

With all the expenditures and revenue suggested, Donald Tsang expected expenditure and revenue for 2001/2002 to be HK$254.7 bln and HK$251.7 bln respectively. The revenue includes HK$15 bln by selling the second batch of MTR shares. Generally speaking, a fiscal deficit of HK$3 bln for next year is expected. Meanwhile, the financial reserve will reduce to HK$429.9 bln by the end of next fiscal year.
