China Mobile brings HK stocks high closing

HK stocks rebounded in the afternoon session. HIS surged by 31.59 pts to close at 14208.95 pts after an initial drop in the morning, on a mere turnover of HK$6.229. China Mobile(0941) went up by HK$0.3 to close at HK$37.4. HSBC(0005) also rose by HK$1 to close at HK$103.5. The two heavy stocks brought the broad market up . Property stocks also saw buying. Sun Hung Kai Properties(0016) went up by HK$0.75 to close at HK$84.75. Henderson Land Development(0012) rose by HK$0.3 to close at HK$46.1. Cheung Kong(0001) closed at HK$92.75, up HK$0.25, while New World development (0017) went down HK$0.2 to close at HK$13.75. But Hang Seng Bank(0011) and Hutchison Whampoa(0013) were still under pressure . HIS went down HK$1.75 to close at HK$92.75. Hutchison Whampoa also fell by HK$0.75 to close at HK$88.75. Legend (0992) dropped by HK$0.3 to close at HK$5.85.
