HSBC rumored to lay off 1200 employees

HSBC was rumored to lay off 1200 employees, which accounted for 8.57% of existing 14000 employees. Some logistic work would be handled in Guangzhou. Sources pointed out employees to be laid off would get as much as 12-month salaries. 50 employees at logistic center would get notification in short terms.Spokesman of HSBC said they would have no response to rumors.
