Sinopec expects to issue A shares amid global market slump Sinopec Corp.(0386) m

Sinopec Corp.(0386) may seek support from China mainland rather than overseas investors to fund the purchase of an oil producer firm amid the market slump. It is in talks with the China Securities Regulatory Commission about issuing A shares and raising cash which will be used to buy Sinopec Star Petroleum Co from its parent China Petrochemical Co.
