New World Telephone targets 20 pct commercial broadband market share
HONG KONG (AFX-ASIA) - New World Telephone managing director Albert Wong said the company has set a target of 20 pct market share for its broadband service for commercial users. The South China Morning Post quoted Wong as saying the company will rely on the broadband service as its main engine of growth. "Data transmission is our growth area in the next two to three years," Wong said. "We hope that will contribute up to 30 pct to our bottom line," Wong added. The report said the service has been built on top of New World Telephone's 2.5 bln hkd investment in telecoms infrastructure.
