VoiceStream was allowed to merger with Germany Telecom

Hutchison Whampoa (0013), which is holding 18% U.S. mobile phone dealer Voicestream, was allowed to merger with the Deutsche Telecom. The trading value was reduced a half from earlier US$50.7 bln to US$23.9 bln since the share price of the Deutsche Telecom dropped during the last few months. The related trading is waiting for permission from the US Federal Communication Committee.
