Huaneng Power 2000 power generation up 16.7 pct

HONG KONG (AFX-ASIA) - Huaneng Power International Inc said the total power generation of the company in 2000 rose 16.7 pct from a year earlier. In a statement, Huaneng Power said its Shangan Power Plant, Shanghai Shidongkou Second Power Plant and Shantou Coal-fired Power Plant all achieved record high levels of power generation. Last year, the company said, the average availability factor of its power plants was 90.03 pct and the average capacity factor was 57.87 pct
