SFC to investigate possible insider trading in NWD

The Securities and Futures Commission will investigate whether profit warnings given to analysts by New World Development (0017) were used for insider trading, leading to 20% plunge in the property company's stock in the past two days. The SFC will investigate whether the warnings constituted "inside information" and whether those with access to the information benefited from it.NWD will announce its interim results today.
