Zhu said the primary task of the China Securities Regulatory Commission is to strengthen regulations this year, and ensure that the stock maket is fair, reputable and open. These regulatory efforts will of course focus on listed companies and investment funds, he said. The strengthening of regulation will be a prolonged task, but the government expects to see noticeable results this year, Zhu said.
