Singapore telecom submits proposal of acquisition of Cable & Wireless Optus

Singapore telecom announced an agreement on terms of acquisition of Optus had been reached with Cable & Wireless Optus Ltd and Cable and Wireless PLC. Singapore said three choices would be offered to shareholders of Optus, which involved purchasing in cash, swapping shares and issuing bonds. Purchasing price would be A$3.94 to A$4.23 per share while total amount would be A$ 14.9 bln to A$16 bln
