China industrial enterprises 2 mths sales up 14.5 pct yr-on-yr
SHANGHAI (AFX-ASIA) - China's industrial enterprises' combined sales in the two months to February rose 14.5 pct from a year earlier, a growth rate 6.2 percentage points slower than the rate at the same time last year, the National Bureau of Statistics said. State-owned and state-controlled industrial enterprises' combined sales in the two months rose 12.7 pct from a year earlier, a growth rate 6.3 percentage points slower than at the same time last year. Industrial enterprises' profits in the two months rose 45.8 pct year-on-year, while state industrial enterprises' profits rose 62.3 pct. Industrial firms' total tax payments in the two months rose 14 pct year-on-year, a growth rate 1.6 percentage points faster than at the same time last year. State industrial enterprises' tax payments rose 12.1 pct, a growth rate 0.5 percentage points faster than the rate at the same time last year. Losses at loss-making industrial enterprises dropped 12 pct year-on-year, a drop 8.2 percentage points greater than the reduction in losses at the same time last year. Losses at loss-making state industrial firms dropped 18.6 pct from a year earlier, a reduction 16.6 percentage points greater than the reduction in losses at the same time last year. Industrial enterprises' accounts receivable at end-Feb rose 8 pct from a year earlier, a growth rate 1.2 percentage points slower than the rate at the same time last year. State industrial enterprises' accounts receivable at end-Feb rose 3.8 pct from a year earlier, a growth rate 0.8 percentage points slower than the rate at the same time last year.
