Legend to amortize HK$1.889 bln goodwill

The spokesman of Legend(0992), Li Lan said that the company would make amortisation from the end of March , 2001 for the goodwill produced by acquisition of Beijing Legend .Li Lan said he could not affirm what effect the amortisation would bring to the Legend profit .Li Lan said the amortisation due day and proportion would be discussed by the accountants without revealing the amount of amortisation.It is reported by sources that Legend would make HK$1.889 bln amortisation for the goodwill brought by the acquisition of Beijing Legend.It is also reported that the amortisation would be carried out under the directions which was released in January by Association of accountants.
