China Feb industrial ex-factory price index up 0.9 pct yr-on-yr
SHANGHAI (AFX-ASIA) - China's index of industrial ex-factory prices in February rose 0.9 pct from a year earlier, a growth rate 0.5 percentage points slower than in January, the National Bureau of Statistics said. Ex-factory prices for production materials in February rose 1.8 pct year-on-year, a growth rate 0.9 percentage points slower than in January. Ex-factory prices for excavation equipment rose 7.8 pct from a year earlier, a growth rate 3.4 percentage points slower than in January. The bureau said ex-factory prices in the petroleum industry rose 13.7 pct from a year earlier, a growth rate 11.3 percentage points slower than in January. Ex-factory prices for crude oil rose 13.4 pct year on year, a growth rate 7.9 percentage points slower than in January, while ex-refinery prices for oil products rose 13.5 pct, a growth rate 13.1 percentage points slower than in January. Ex-factory prices for materials used during daily life, dropped 1.4 pct from a year earlier, while ex-factory prices for long-term consumer goods dropped 3.9 pct, food prices dropped 0.3 pct and garment prices dropped 0.1 pct. For daily-use commodities, ex factory prices dropped 1.5 pct, the bureau said.
