SmarTone to bid for Hong Kong 3G licence/not interested in Singapore 3G

HONG KONG (AFX-ASIA) - SmarTone Telecommunications Holdings Ltd said it will bid for a third-generation mobile services licence in Hong Kong.	    Chief executive officer Ian Stone told reporters after speaking at a conference that the company will bid for the licence on its own.	    He also urged the government to keep the auction rules for the 3G licence simple.	    Stone also said the company was not interested in bidding for a 3G licence in Singapore.
