US stocks shed broadly / Nasdaq down 6%

US stock declined broadly and Nasdaq went down 118.13 pts, or 6% ,standing at 1854.13 pts. Dow Industry Average Index fell 162.19 pts, off 1.6%, standing at 9785.35. Market was dragged down by the profit warnings of Nortel Networks and Palm.
