PCCW records portfolio book value at US$309 mln, not to inject new funds

Chung Cho Yee Mico, executive director of PCCW (0008), said PCCW portfolio had owned more than 70 listed and non-listed companies and the portfolio book value was US$309 mln after US$627 mln provision. He said the relevant provision was enough if there werenˇ¦t any big changes in the market.He also said the company wouldnˇ¦t inject any new funds at present and invest only after the sales of portfolio asset cash.He also added that the listed and non-listed companies in the portfolio accounted for 50% respectively and 2-3 companies were expected to be listed this year.
