Cheung Kong prices first batch of Laguna Grande at 4,025 hkd per sq ft

HONG KONG (AFX-ASIA) - Cheung Kong (Holdings) Ltd executive director Austin Chiu said the company has priced the first 12 units of the 16th and 21st towers of Laguna Grande at an average price of 4,025 hkd per square foot. The public sales will begin from April 21, he said. Chiu said the two towers consist of a total 400 units. "We launch the first batch of 12 units and will watch the market response closely before any decision to launch extra flats." "However, with falls in interest rates, we are confident we will get a good sales result," Chiu said. For the two towers in question, Cheung Kong has provided five preferential payment packages, including cash rebate, mortgage interest free for a certain period, and second mortgages, he said. "We expect the 400 units will help Cheung Kong secure about 2.5 bln hkd in cash," he said. Company senior sales manager Patrick Ho said so far Cheung Kong has sold about 800 Laguna Grande units, securing about 4 bln hkd. Laguna Grande is the fourth phase of Laguna Verde residential project located at Hunghom.
