Motorola CEO bonus cut

Christopher Galvin, chief executive officer of the second largest mobile phone producer Motorola, got a shrunk bonus of US$1.25 mln compared with previous US$1.9 mln. This reflected Motorola adjusted the salary of its high-level staff after several announcements on trimming staff for cost cut. The company confirmed last Friday the investigation by US securities authority. Wyman, spokesman of Motorola said the company was cooperating with US securities authority, which was investigating whether Motorola staff leaked unopened news before Wall Street downgraded the companyˇ¦s profit forecast on March 9.Wyman pointed out the company had not give analysts any fresh data after its profit warnings in February 23. He also indicated that it was very common for US listed companies to cooperate with US securities authority.
