Taiwan MoF expects new AMC project to be announced soon

TAIPEI (AFX-ASIA) - Finance Minister Yen Ching-chang said he expects one more new asset management company project to be announced soon, the Commercial Times reported.	    Yen did not give further details of the project, according to the report.	    He also said many foreign institutional investors have asked the MoF to recommend good quality financial institutions for possible mergers or strategic alliances.	    Yen said he expects one more merger project will take place, adding the MoF will help facilitate about 10 merger projects involving financial institutions by the end of this year.
