David Webb appointed as committee member of SFC and Fan Hung Ling vice chairman

Securities Compensation Fund Committee announced the list of 2001 Takeovers Appeal Committee and Takeovers & Mergers Panel. Henry Fan Hung Ling, managing director of CITIC Pacific (0267), was appointed as vice chairman of the committee. Internet financial commentator David Webb was also appointed as committee member. He said he would propose to alter the standard of the wholly acquisition from 35% to 30% after he joined the committee.
