British Midland Airways approved to open UK to HK airline

British Midland Airways, the third largest British aviation company, has been approved to open UK to HK airline, which is expected to increase competition of Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd.(0293) in the airline.Midland has been approved to open the airline by British authority and is waiting for approval of Hong Kong aviation management department. It is expected to be approved smoothly. Proceeds of the airline accounts for 15% of total profit of Cathay Pacific Airways .
