Jiang Zemin says China will never give in on issues of sovereignty/unity

SHANGHAI (AFX-ASIA) - Chinese president Jiang Zemin said China will never give in to external pressure on matters of principle which concern state sovereignty and the maintenance of the country's territory intact, the Xinhua News Agency reported.	    In an address to Argentine Presidend Fernando de la Rua, Jiang said China will persist with its policy of opening up, and will communicate and cooperate with other countries on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, the report said.
