CNOOC intends to acquire oil field project

Chairman Wei Liucheng CNOOC (0883) said in an interview that the company had intention to acquire overseas oil fields project in forms of loans due to a low debt rate of only 18%. He said the company intended to acquire existing oil field or natural gas projects in Australia without further exploration.
