Tsingtao Brewery sees beer sales 2.6 mln tonnes in 2001/3 mln tonnes by 2003

HONG KONG (AFX-ASIA) - Tsingtao Brewery Co Ltd said it sees output and sales volume of its beer to reach 2.6 mln tonnes in 2001 and to exceed 3 mln tonnes by 2003.	    In a statement releasing its results, the company said it is striving to become one of the ten largest beer companies in the world.	    Tsingtao Brewery said it plans to selectively merge and acquire other companies in areas where it does not already have a presence.	    The company will be involved in system integration, innovative mechanism and enhanced core competitiveness this year, it added.
