Sony studying mobile phone handset alliance with Ericsson

TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - Sony Corp is "studying business cooperation in the mobile phone handset segment with LM Ericsson AB," the company said in a statement.	    The company, however, said that details of any alliance talks have not been decided.	    The statement followed a Japan Broadcasting Corp report that Sony and Ericsson are planning to consolidate their mobile phone operations.
