HK stocks up 610pts through 13000

Following the outstanding performance of US and Asia-Pacific markets, Hong Kong market surged sharply to 13446pts at the opening, peaking 13621pts. It stood at 13583pts, adding 610pts. HSBC Holdings (0005) and Hutchison Whampoa(0013) both fetched HK$4 to stand at HK$98 and HK489.25. Properties also boomed. Cheung Kong(0001) rose by HK$3.75 to HK$86.25. Sun Hung Kai Properties(0016) increased HK$5.25 to HK$75.5.
