PetroChina/2000 results -- 2

PetroChina said its revenue from the production of chemical products rose 31.3 pct in 2000, due to the company's focus on higher value-added products.	    Ma said the company has met 66.7 pct of the 1.2 bln yuan cost reduction target for its chemical segments for the period 1999-2002.	    In 2000, the company produced about 1.50 mln tonnes of ethylene, about 1.85 mln tonnes of synthetic resins, about 0.30 mln tonnes of synthetic fibres, about 0.22 mln tonnes of synthetic rubber and about 3.11 mln tonnes of urea.	    Sales of natural gas amounted to 480.5 bln cubic feet in 2000, of which 391.0 bln cubic feet was sold through the company's natural gas segment.
