Ericsson, Sony form handset joint venture

STOCKHOLM (AFX) - LM Ericsson AB said it and Sony Corp will create a joint venture that will incorporate their respective mobile phone businesses worldwide. 	    The company said it and Sony will a hold joint press conference in Stockholm at 11.00 am today, hosted by Ericsson chief executive officer Kurt Hellstrom and Sony's chairman and chief executive officer Otto Zich. 	    Sony will also hold a press conference in Tokyo at 6.00 pm local time.
