China Unicom March clients up 39% to 1.358 mln

China Unicom (0762) announced the operation data in Q1: The number of mobile phones clients has increased to 16.3 mln by the end of March, 1.358 mln of which is the increased onesin March, higher than that of the previous months. Of the total clients, 1.035 mln are contract clients and 323,000 are pre-paid clients, accounting for 76.2% and 23.8% of the new clients respectively. Counting for the data of the previous three months, the number of increased clients is nearly 3.482 mln, averagely  increasing 1.16 mln each month.
