Hutchison to invest US$520 mln in its Australian Unit

Canning Fok, managing director of Hutchison Whampoa (0013), announced when attended the Australian companyˇ¦s annual shareholders meeting that Hutchison was to spend A$1 bln(US$520 mln) on its 58-pct-owned Hutchison Telecom(Australia) in the following three to five years. Hutchison Australia was the fifth largest cell phone company in Australia.
