Australian Telecom and PCCW team up to march towards Japan market

Sydney: An unknown market source reported that Reach under PCCW and Australian Telecom are negotiating with a Japanese dot-com company on JV matter. The Japanese company will allegedly buy shares in Reach. Dick Simpson, Director of Telstra International under Australian Telecom, was quoted as saying that Japan occupies important position in its strategy and the company will consider listing only after expanding certain business in this market.
