Dell Computer claims to cut 4000 jobs; sales and profit expected within predicti

Dell Computer (4331) announced after the closing of US market that it would lay off 3000-4000 employees in the following two quarters, accounting for 10% of the total staff. The company also stated that the targets of sales and profit can be achieved. The news stirred the market to expand trading time with price soaring 2.55% to US$26.57.
