CNOOC in talks on acquiring part shareholding of North West Shelf in Australia

Australian liquid gas company Australia LNG said it was in talks with CNOOC (0883) on selling part of the shareholding in the natural gas field of North West Shelf in Australia. The report pointed out that if Australia LNG gained the contract to supply the liquid gas valued at US$600 mln, CNOOC would invest in the gas field of North West Shelf, which is valued at US$6 bln.
