China's Qian meets former Taiwan premier

BEIJING (AFX-ASIA) - Former Taiwan premier Vincent Siew, who is in China on an eight-day visit, met Vice Premier Qian Qichen today, a spokesman for Siew said.

	    In an hourlong meeting at the Zhongnanhai Communist leaders' compound, the two discussed "economics and trade-related issues," Siew's spokesman said.
