Beijing Beida Jade Bird/Shanghai W-IBEDA/Biodata to invest 2.164 mln usd in jv

HONG KONG (AFX-ASIA) - Beijing Beida Jade Bird Universal Sci-Tech Co Ltd said it will form a joint venture company with Shanghai W-IBEDA Sci-Tech Development Technology and Biodata Information Technology, with an initial investment of 2.164 mln usd.

	    The joint venture company, to be called Shanghai Jadebird W-IBEDA Network Device Co Ltd (SJW), will have a share capital of 1.515 mln usd with its shares equally divided among the partners.

	    SJW will be engaged in the design, manufacture and sale of network devices, along with communications technology products.

	    The production capacity of SJW is expected to reach 400 units in 2001, doubling to 800 units in 2002, and increasing further to over 1,000 units in 2003, it said.
