Credit Suisse First Boston: US to cut rate by 0.5%; no rate-cut in second half

Credit Suisse First Boston predicted in a report that the Fed would reduce the rate by 0.5% tonight, thus ending the rate-cut circle this year.

However, it did not rule out that the Fed would announce a 0.25% rate-cut tonight and then another 0.25% cut in June. Though the Fed held a conservative attitude towards further rate-cut, it still believed that rate-cut was unnecessary in the second half of this year.
