Taiwan to ease "mini 3 links" with mainland China: report
TAIPEI (AFX-ASIA) - The government is ready to ease regulations governing the so-called "mini three links" between the offshore islands Kinmen and Matsu and Fujian province, including transshipment of Taiwan cargo to the mainland, the Economic Daily News reported, without giving a source. At the same time, Taiwan investors in Fujian and the residents of Kinmen and Matsu will be permitted to travel to and fro between the two offshore islands and the mainland, it said. The easing is expected to go into effect in June after revision of the regulations is completed at the end of the month, it added.
