China 4 mths to April FDI up 38.28 pct to 20.248 bln usd: MoFTEC

HONG KONG (AFX-ASIA) -- Contracted foreign direct investment to China in the four months to April rose 38.28 pct year-on-year to 20.248 bln usd, Xinhua reported, citing Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation 

data.

	    In a despatch received here, Xinhua said China approved a total of 7,433 overseas-invested companies from January to April, with arrived overseas investment totaling 10.953 bln usd, up 12.43 pct year-on-year.

	    The ministry said that by the end of April, the number of overseas-funded companies in China had reached 371,778, involving a contractual overseas investment of 696.967 bln usd.
