Yahoo still undecided on whether to ban adult-content chat groups

NEW YORK (AFX) - Yahoo! Inc said its has not yet decided whether to ban chat groups and discussion forums with adult content after last month banning adult products from being sold through its U.S. shopping site, the New York 

Times reported, citing Yahoo spokesman Jackson Holtz.

	    "The (chat room) sites are still there. We haven't made a decision one way or another," Holtz said.

	    According to the newspaper, Yahoo has has begun making it harder for users to find sexually explicit chat rooms and clubs, which prompted thousands of users to sign a petition demanding that the company continue to 

maintain the popular online forums.

	    Yahoo last month also said it will no longer sign new contracts with adult-related banner advertisers.
