Passengers of Cathay Pacific Airways in April same with last year; carrying rate

Cathay Pacific Airways (0293) announced that it carried 1.033 mln passengers in April this year, the same level from a year earlier. The figure in the first 4 months hit 3.939 mln passengers, posting a rise of 3.1% against the same 2000 period. The freight in April reached 56,900 tons, down 10% from a year ago. The total freight in Jan.-Apr. dropped 3% to amount to 227,900 ton.

The passenger carrying rate in April slipped 6.5% to 74.2%, while freight rate lose 9.1% to hit 63.7%.
