NTT DoCoMo denies purchase of Smart Communications

NTT DoCoMo spokesman Norio Hasegawa was quoted as saying that the company brushed off the report that it was under negotiation with PLDT about the acquisition of Smart Communications.

Philippine Daily Inquirer cited market sources as saying that Japan¡¦s top mobile company NTT DoCoNo may purchase 40% shares of Smart Communications from First Pacific (0142).
