Taiwan export from May 1st to 18th US$6.25 bln, down 19.8% yr-on-yr

Taipei: Financial Ministry announced from May 1st to 18th, Taiwan export totalled US$6.25 bln, shedding 19.8% year-on-year while import was US$6.36 bln, down 13.9% year-on-year. 



The ministry pointed out the trade deficit reached US$101.8 mln vs US$412.6 mln surplus. From January 3rd to March 18th, export shed 7.3% to US$48 bln while import plunged 12.2% to US$44.04 bln. The trade surplus was US$3.91 vs US$1.54 bln.
