Financial secretary Antony Leung refuses to comment on H-share trading issue

Financial secretary Antony Leung said in Beijing that he wouldnˇ¦t confirm or deny whether the HKSAR government would advise the Central Government to permit mainland investors to purchase H-shares, Ming Pao reported.

Market sources said that the HKSAR government put forward a suggestion to the Central government that domestic investors should be allowed to trade H-shares in an effort to enhance the financial cooperation between Hong Kong and Mainland China.
