At the board meeting of PCCW (0008) held today, one of the resolutions, which granted the rights to board meeting on deciding the directors¡¦ salary, received objection from small shareholders with 3 negative notes and 22 affirmative votes.

The result was believed to result from the dissatisfaction of shareholders on the over-high salary of some individual directors. Richard Lee, chairman and CEO of PCCW (0008), looked dignified while watching the vote results.
