Hutchison Global Telecom to break even this year

South China Morning Post cited Hutchison Global Telecom President Peter Wong as saying that the target of the company is to break even this year, one year ahead of the analyst forecast.

He pointed out that the company was endeavoring to attract more clients to boost the sales in local telephone network and also predicted a double-digit growth this year.

The network, he revealed, was expected to cover 2000 buildings, accounting for 50% of the population.

The company recorded a net loss of US$13.483 mln, up 61% from the same period last year, while the operating loss swelled by 45.57% to hit US$12.672 mln.
