Singapore Telecom refuses to comment on SmarTone acquisition

Singapore Telecom declined to make comments on the report about its acquisition of SmarTone Telecommunications Holdings (0315) of which 20% shares are controlled by the British Telecom.

Today¡¦s newspapers pointed out that Sun Hung Kai (0016) disapproved the acquisition plan while Singapore Telecom purchased it purposely.
