Asia-Pacific markets claw up in stagnation

Japan Nikkei Average Index regained stability after sliding for five consecutive days, closing at 13773.89pts, up 36pts, or 0.26%. Taiwan Weighted Index added 16pts, or 0.31% to close at 5095.26pts.
